4th of July Crafts, Party and Decoration Ideas

Happy summer friends! It's hard to believe it's almost the 4th of July! Independence Day sort of snuck up on me this year since I've been so busy with work, but I'm super excited to share some 4th of July crafts, DIY party, and decoration ideas with you. Whether you're patriotic celebration is at home or with loved ones, these 4th of July ideas will add some flair and fun.

I actually created this party set for a national virtual class I taught for Michaels Stores. I've included the  recording of the hour-long class at the end of this post. As you scroll down you'll see some more detailed photos and the tools I used to make this party set. It was so fun!

Here are the supplies I used to create these 4th of July crafts and party decorations:

My favorite part of this set is the two garlands. I love a good party banner/garland! The first one is a simple flag garland or paper bunting. The trick with this one is to create a nice mix of color and pattern.

The second one is a combination of DIY pom poms, paper barn stars, and gold foil letters. I made the pom poms and stars with The Works All In One Tool. It's a 12-in-1 tool, and my go-to tool of choice right now. I created the foil letter with the Alphabet Punch Board.

The cupcake toppers were easy to make with the banner making feature of The Works All In One Tool. They're the smallest size banner--3 inches. I trimmed some bamboo skewers in half and wove them through the holes. I added the letters that I punched with the Word Punch Board.

Individually wrapped utensils are the way to go right now to keep things hygienic. I made 3x5 inch envelopes with The Works All In One Tool and left the top flap open. I added a layered belly band around them using the "negatives" from the Word Punch Board letters I punched for the cupcake toppers.

The last element to the 4th of July crafts and DIY party is these cute little favor boxes. I used the score board on The Works All In One Tool to make them (full instructions in the video below), and then made the tassels and mini tags with The Works tool as well. These would be cute filled with candy or small fireworks--great 4th of July ideas, right?

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my 4th of July crafts, party, and decoration ideas! If you'd like more details and a full video tutorial, watch the free class below. Enjoy, and Happy Independence Day!
