As a mom of two boys I’m always happy to see awesome boy-themed paper collections like this. Yay! It's hard to find good products and inspiration for boy scrapbook pages. While this collection was made with little boys in mind, it’s definitely versatile enough to work well for big boy layouts. I recently snapped some photos of my son who is a senior in high school. He’s been having such an amazing and memorable experience this year, and I thought the Little Man collection would be perfect for capturing some of his senior year memories.
I chose to use the red semi-solid patterned paper for my
page background, and add layers of some of the other vibrant colors in the
collection. I focused on the generic patterned papers in my layers to fit these
photos of my son. I can hardly believe how old he looks! It seems like just
yesterday he was a “little man”.
I used my Silhouette to cut the large star shape, and
included some of the more generic ephemera pieces and stickers. I scattered
several different size stars throughout the page to create a sense of unity.
I created a DIY embellishment by folding one of the flag
shaped pieces of ephemera over a large paper clip and adding a small star
sticker. A few more metallic accents, some twine, and some handwritten
journaling finish off my page nicely.
Thanks for letting me share my not-so-little man layout with
you today. For a full supply list and more details, check out the original post on the Echo Park blog HERE.
