crafty christmas countdown: day 14

The Anna Griffin layout and card below are great examples of how to use large bold patterned paper in your paper crafts.  I used the same sheet of poinsettia paper from the 100 Sheets of Christmas Paper HSN kit.  The poinsettia images were very large and I thought they would look great cut out and clustered with some other elements on a scrapbook page.  Here's how it turned out on the layout:

Obviously I loved the poinsettias so much, I used them again on this 5x7 card.  This time I used them as a background for my card sentiment and focal point.  They edges extend just beyond the borders of the card, adding a little extra visual interest.  And while a good chuck of the poinsettias are covered, enough of them show through on either side of the sentiment that your eyes automatically fill in the rest.

Wonderful poinsettia projects. The layout is wonderful. I love taking a few minutes to get in the holiday spirit each day here. Thanks
