Then we added some loose cheesecloth dyed in grey that I found at Walmart. We hit the 50% off Halloween sale at Michael's and came home with the tombstone chalkboard, spiderweb candle, and "wicked" sign. Not only were they all half off, but we also got another 20% off of that. Score!
To dress up the plain black tombstone chalkboard I used my Silhouette Cameo to create a faux chalk sign. Tutorial coming soon! I didn't want all the black to overwhelm our Halloween display so I spray painted the "wicked" sign gold. I love how it turned out!
To add in some white, I took one of my old craft pumpkins painted it white along with a few sticks from my backyard. Then I created some accents with gold spray paint and washi tape. I'll share a tutorial on that project soon.
I love how the pumpkin and sticks tie in the gold and add some bright contrast to the grouping.
My gold candles and wall sconces fit in perfectly with the mix. I love the chic and creepy feel of our DIY Halloween decor this year. Some of my favorite so far!
