patriotic place setting with the pillow box punch board {video tutorial}

If you've followed my blog for a while you know how much I love finding different and unexpected ways to use my craft tools. I feel like I'm getting more bang for my buck, and I get a certain thrill from thinking outside the box. Well, today's post is about one of those lucky moments!

The We R Memory Keepers Pillow Box Punch Board makes lovely gift wrap, but did you know you can also make darling utensil holders for your party place settings?

These patriotic place settings are easy to make by simply altering the top of the box slightly. I'll show you how in the video below.

You can use these for place cards and fill them with a napkin and utensils, or you can fill them with flowers, pinwheels, or goodies for your guests.

I decorated mine with some fringe tape, shaped paper clips, and starburst tags. Mine are 4th of July themed for a backyard barbecue, but you can make yours for any event or holiday.

I recently shot a project video showing how to make these. Check it out below!

If you make some of your own, be sure to link me up. I'd love to see!
