Here's how it worked: I wrote down five things I felt grateful for each day from two weeks before Thanksgiving, until Thanksgiving Day. On the last day I also wrote down my feelings, thoughts, and experiences during this project--like how my perspective changed, and anything I noticed in my outlook on life while recording my blessings.
For my journal covers I used a vintage chapter book that I got at a thrift store for 50 cents, and I removed the inside pages. If you're interested in learning how I created the journal itself you can visit the Scrapbook and Cards Today magazine blog where this project was featured.
I selected papers, journaling cards, and embellishments from my stash that complimented the vintage feel I was going for, and I included various envelopes, pockets, and glassine bags for memorabilia. Each page also has room for my journaling and a photo(s) if I feel like I need to take one to tell my story. The pages also stand alone just fine in case I don't need a photo for that day. I used the new We R Memory Keepers Bracket Tab Punch and Stickers to mark each day, and my Cinch machine to bind it all together.
Here are the rest of the inside pages:
Next week on Thursday I'll be sharing my gratitude journal for this year. I'll be keeping track of 15 Days of Gratitude and I invite you to join with me and share your journal here or on my Facebook page or my Instagram feed. I'd love to see what you're doing to count your blessings this season. Have a great weekend!
